= FNTнабор символов, имеющих единый дизайн. Как правило, это имеющий уникальное имя [полный] набор заданного начертания изображений символов какого-либо языка. Семейство шрифтов образует гарнитуру (typeface). Наиболее популярные гарнитуры: Таймс, Курьер, Журнальная и др. функция, предусмотренная в некоторых системах отображения (построения) шрифтов, в том числе Adobe Type Manager, PostScript и Microsoft TrueType; обеспечивает возможность печати документа, созданного на одном компьютере, на другом компьютере, если даже у него нет какого-либо из использованных шрифтов, - с заменой отсутствующего шрифта на аналогичный и совместимый (из имеющихся в наличии).
